MEET COACH RACHEL

Rachel Coleman, CEO

If anyone knows what it takes to be a successful student-athlete, it’s Rachel Coleman. As a former Division I player, owner of a nationally ranked softball organization and influencer in the softball community, Rachel is committed to inspiring young female athletes and helping them reach their definition of personal and professional success.

For more than a decade, she has provided hands-on guidance and expert training resources to help female athletes leverage their skills and talent into coveted softball scholarships. While she is quite passionate about athletics, Rachel’s favorite and most important role is that of mentor, teacher, and leader.

Rachel grew up playing on her local Little League and Little League All-Stars teams, and ultimately led her high school team to a 2008 State Championship Title.  Rachel also played for a national level travel softball team before being recruited to Rider University to play Division 1 softball. She graduated with a degree in Sports Management and Coaching Science from the University of Delaware where she also coached a local Gold travel and high school team. As her senior internship, Rachel became the Volunteer Assistant Coach at Kennesaw State University (KSU) under Softball Hall of Fame Coach Scott Whitlock. Rachel went on to earn a Master’s in Sports Management at the University of Tennessee where she acted as a Graduate Manager under Softball Hall of Fame Coaches Ralph and Karen Weekly helping them advance to the 2015 Women’s College World Series. In her first Division 1 coaching role after graduation as the Assistant Coach and Pitching Coach at the University of Delaware, Rachel helped the team break Delaware records and advance to the conference tournament two years in a row, while achieving the highest RPA and GPA rankings in the school’s history.

Despite her devotion to coaching and experience as a Division 1 coach, Rachel’s first love is the development of players at the travel ball level. Today, she is a well-known leader, mentor and influencer in the softball community as the owner of Stars National Fastpitch, one of the top travel ball organizations in the country. As an innovator who is committed to her players’ success, Rachel and her team are leveraging state-of-the-art data to customize individual plans that enable her athletes to optimize their performance.

Under her management, Stars National won the PGF Platinum in 2021 and the JO Cup Championship in 2022 and placed in the top 25 at the 2023 Alliance Tier 1 Nationals. The organization has become a nationally ranked travel ball organization with 50+ teams with 750 student athletes earning more than $10 million in scholarships.

Additionally, Rachel owns East Coast Softball, the host of the top college showcase and camps in the Northeast region along with her recruiting company, Softballrecruiting.com, which has helped female athletes secure more than $35M in scholarships.

Empowering young female athletes to reach their goals at school, in sports, and in life is the true secret to Rachel’s success. As a mentor, entrepreneur and born leader, she defines winning as success and fulfillment - on and off the field. Her innovative approach to management and her commitment to mentoring coaches and student athletes is a true inspiration in the world of softball and fulfills her lifelong dream to pave the way for the next generation of softball players.
